How many messages can I send for free?

5 messages a day, shared between the chat and the tool pages, plus 5 more after a short ad. The counter resets every day, and you never pay or sign up.

Where is my chat history stored?

Only in the browser you are using. We keep no copy of your conversations on our server, so export them if you switch devices or clear your browser data.

Can Grok look at my images?

Yes. Attach one picture per message, such as a photo, a screenshot or a scanned page, and ask about it. Grok can describe and read images, but it does not create them in our chat.

Does it work in my language?

The interface is available in 26 languages, and Grok usually answers in whatever language you write in. Quality is highest in widely used languages, so double-check important wording.

Is there a mobile app?

You do not need one: the site works in the browser on any phone. We also make a separate free AI chat app for iPhone and Android, shown in the banners on this site. It is our own product, not an xAI app.

Can I share a conversation?

Yes. Press Share in the chat to create a read-only link. Search engines do not index shared pages, and you can ask us to delete one at any time through the contact form.
