What this writer does

Most writing jobs stall at the first paragraph. This tool takes a short brief and hands back a complete draft, so your time goes into editing instead of staring at an empty document. It covers blog articles, website sections, product listings, bios, newsletters, speeches and toasts, or any other text you can describe in a few lines.

Behind the box is Grok 4.20, the fast model from xAI that powers every tool on this site. It answers right away, without a long thinking pause. It has also been told to stick to the facts in your brief: when something essential is missing, such as a price or a launch date, it writes a bracketed gap like [price] instead of guessing, so you see at a glance what still needs your input.

How to use the AI Writer

  1. Write the brief. Two or three sentences are enough: the subject, the reader, the points that must appear and any names or numbers. Click a sample brief under the box to see one.
  2. Pick a format. "Follow the brief" lets your wording decide. The other choices give the draft a fixed shape: an article gets a headline and subheadings, a website section gets benefit points and a call to action, a product listing gets a feature list.
  3. Choose a tone: clear and friendly, expert, persuasive, relaxed, heartfelt or playful.
  4. Set the length. Short is roughly 120 words, medium 300 and long 600. Expect the result to land a little over or under.
  5. Press Generate or Ctrl+Enter. Copy the draft when you like it. Regenerate writes another version, and Continue in chat opens the draft in a conversation for further edits.

Tips that make the draft better

  • Describe the reader, not just the topic. "For parents of toddlers who have never baked bread" steers vocabulary and detail more than any tone setting.
  • Feed it your own material. Specs, a story from your shop, a phrase your customers use. Real details stop a draft from sounding like every other page on the web.
  • Name what you dislike. "No exclamation marks, no rhetorical questions" is a perfectly good line in a brief.
  • Refine in the chat. There you can ask for precise edits, such as "make the second paragraph half as long", or switch to Grok 4.3 Thinking for a slower, more deliberate rewrite.

An About section for a two-person bike repair workshop in an old garage. We fix any bike, give honest quotes before starting and teach free repair classes on the first Sunday of each month.Website section, clear and friendly, shortTwo mechanics, one old garage, and a simple rule: you hear the price before we pick up a spanner.
A welcome toast for my best friend's 40th. She is a night-shift nurse, loves terrible puns and once drove six hours to bring me soup.Speech or toast, heartfelt, shortMost people show their love with a text message. Our friend here shows it with a six-hour drive and a pot of soup.

Both openings use only what the brief said. The workshop's opening hours were not given, so a draft like this leaves a bracketed gap for them.

Limits worth knowing

  • It is a first draft. Read it aloud, cut anything that does not sound like you and check each claim before it goes public.
  • No internet access. Grok in our chat cannot look anything up, and its knowledge stops at a training cut-off. Current prices and recent events have to come from you.
  • Keep marketing honest. Never publish AI text as customer reviews or promise results you cannot back up.
  • Think before you paste. Your brief travels through our server and an AI gateway to the model provider. Leave out passwords and private details; our AI privacy and safety guide explains why.

AI Writer FAQ

Does it cost anything?

No, and there is no sign-up. Each Generate or Regenerate uses one of your 30 free messages for the day. The chat and all twelve tools draw from that same allowance, which starts over every day.

Can I write in my own language?

Yes. Write the brief in Spanish, Hindi, Polish or another language and the draft comes back in that language. Quality is usually best in widely used languages, so give less common ones an extra careful read.

Is the text unique?

The model composes new sentences rather than copying a source, but common phrases can still turn up. Edit anything you publish into your own voice.

Where do my drafts go?

The tool page keeps no history. Continue in chat moves the brief and draft into a conversation saved only in your own browser.

What if my format is not in the list?

Describe it in the brief and leave the format on "Follow the brief", or start in the chat: ask Grok for headline options. For posts and emails, the Social Media Post Generator and the Email Writer go into more detail.
