Social Media Post Generator
Describe your news, offer or idea, choose the platform and tone, and get posts sized for that platform, each with a hook and a clear call to action.
What the post generator does
Every platform has its own habits. An Instagram caption lives or dies by its first line, a LinkedIn post needs a reason to click "see more", and a post on X has to make its point inside 280 characters. The social media post generator writes for the platform you choose: the right length, a hook at the start, a clear call to action, and hashtags only where people actually use them.
Posts are written by Grok 4.20. Grok has a reputation for a direct, slightly witty voice, which can help posts sound less like a press release. The tool is told to use only the facts you give, to put placeholders like [link] where details are missing, and never to write fake numbers, invented quotes or misleading promises.
How to create a post
- Describe what the post is about: the news, offer, event or idea, who it is for, and details such as dates, place, price or link.
- Pick the platform: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, a TikTok or Reels caption, or a YouTube video description.
- Choose a tone: friendly, professional, playful, inspiring, informative, promotional or witty. Playful is the only tone that may add a couple of emojis.
- Choose 1 post or 3 variants. Three variants each open with a different hook, which makes it easy to pick the strongest or test them against each other.
- Generate, then copy, regenerate, or move into the chat to adapt a post for a second platform.
Tips for posts people engage with
- Lead with the most interesting fact. Put it in your description first, and the hook will usually build on it.
- Be specific about the audience. "Parents in our neighbourhood" and "freelance designers" produce very different posts.
- Edit the hashtags. Keep the ones your audience follows and remove anything generic.
- Add your own voice. A personal sentence or a small real detail makes a generated post feel like yours.
- Reuse across platforms. Generate for LinkedIn, then ask in the chat for a shorter version for X or Threads.
- Polish a post you wrote yourself. If you already have a draft, the Grammar Checker fixes typos and the Paraphraser can make it more concise without changing what it says.

Example
The first sample, set to Instagram, Friendly, 3 variants:
Our bookshop starts a monthly silent reading night: last Thursday of every month, 7 to 9 pm, bring any book, tea is free, phones go in a basket at the door.
| Variant | Type of hook a good result uses |
|---|---|
| 1 | A question: when did you last read for two hours without checking your phone? |
| 2 | A scene: the soft click of pages, a cup of free tea, and a basket full of silenced phones by the door. |
| 3 | A plain announcement: new monthly event, the date, the time and what to bring, then a few local hashtags. |
Every variant keeps the real details: last Thursday, 7 to 9 pm, free tea, phones in the basket.
Limits and honest marketing
- No posting, no scheduling. The tool writes text only. It cannot connect to your accounts or publish anything.
- It does not know current trends. Grok on our site has no internet access and no live view of X or any other network, so it cannot see trending topics or hashtags. Check those yourself.
- Follow platform rules. Some platforms ask you to label paid partnerships or AI-generated content. Adding that label is your responsibility.
- Be truthful. Never post invented reviews or results. Besides being unfair to customers, it can break advertising laws in many countries.
Social Media Post Generator FAQ
Is it free?
Yes, with no account. Every press of Generate spends one of your 30 daily free messages, and the counter resets each day.
Does it count characters for X?
It aims to stay under 280 characters for X, but language models do not count characters exactly. Paste the post into X before publishing and trim if needed.
Can I write posts in other languages?
Yes. Describe the post in Italian, Thai, Dutch or another language and the posts come back in that language.
Can it turn a blog article into a thread?
Yes, in the chat. Try a ready thread prompt, or write the article first with the AI Writer.
Can it suggest when to post?
It can share general habits, such as posting when your audience is usually online, but it has no access to your account statistics. Your platform's own analytics are the reliable source for timing.
